Over the weekend we started working on match boxes again. The perfect little canvas plus a perfect little box to hide treasures. Here are some we painted in acrylic awhile back....more in the making!
The Tate Modern is celebrating their 10th anniversary and on the 15th May, we visited the 'No Soul For Sale - A Festival of Independents' . It was a real buzz...a fascinating display of exciting independent artists, collectives and non-profit organizations from around the world. We were thrilled that the 'Museum of Everything' selected one of our paintings to be hung in the Tate and it was an honor to chat briefly with Jarvis Cocker, a real ambassador for Outsider Art.
Our painting hanginging in the Turbine Hall at the Tate Modern London
a coffee and a veiw of St. Pauls Cathedral & the Thames river from the Tate Restaurant
'talk amongst yourselves' oil on canvas. ...as we haul, lug, pack and relocate all our kit and kaboodle to a new home & studio we thought you'd like a little peek at some of our latest paintings.
We're just getting used to this whole blog thing. Inspired by the world of blogs out there, we're still learning how to tweek this and tweek that. Giving our blog a much needed 'cuteness' make-over is work in progress...one day at a time.
And so, it's about time we posted up another painting.
We are pleased to introduce the Bathing Blue-Belle.
In this painting we've gone all romantic....An amazing Austrailian beauty called the Brolga bobs and bows it's scarlet head and shakes it's feathered body just to say'i love you'. Ahhhh
On a secret beach in Devon UK while camping one summer we stumbled upon these amazing rocks. With their smooth surface and rounded edges they became the perfect canvas for our ladies of rock!
