Drawn Together

This year we promised ourselves to get our act together and commence work on our dream of hosting art workshops.

Our mission is to provide an environment where little and big people can not only dabble in a bit of art & craft but also take a personal journey. We create a platform for self expression through the use of collage, mixed-media, painting, drawing and ceramics.

At the beginning of February our art workshops 'Drawn Together' began. Horray!!
To date we've had two groups of delightful 5 year old girls....little hands busy making ladybird collages and bejeweled ceramic love hearts....indulging in glitter can only be a good thing right?

The classes are slowly developing and we wish to incorporate personal art journals & introduce guest illustrators and artists.
We strongly believe that through artistic journeys in creativity and imagination individuals develop confidence and discover the real art of becoming themselves.

Super Furry Animals

What a wonderfully jolly Christmas and New Year it was. We had the pleasure of joining the 'Duckie Christmas Market' at the London Barbican Theatre over the festive season and sold out!!! of all our Super Furry Animal badges.

Now that the festive season is packed away our little creative studio is churning again. We are back to hand-felting woodland creatures and drawing. We plan to open our Etsy shop very soon so once we are up and running you will be able to purchase prints of our illustrations as well.

Print Club Workshop

We finally got ourselves along to a 'Print Club Workshop' last weekend. A perfectly productive Sunday relearning and revamping our forgotten skills of Screen Printing. The workshop was held at the Print Club London studio, a rather wonderful shabby old warehouse in Dalston, East London. It was so nice to get our fingers all messy and churn out some of our illustrations in print.

Renegade Craft Fair

Yay!....The Renegade Craft Fair is headed to London this weekend....we might just have to stroll on over.

We designed this little poster for our swap shop this sunday...our wardrobes are in much need of a shake up and clear out so we are looking forward to an early spring clean. we are also hoping to raise some much needed money and hugs for our dear friend Pia http://www.piiapauliina.com/ so if you are in London on Sunday 13th, pop into the 'Snug Bar' at Defector's Weld in Shepherd's Bush at 2pm, bring some things to swap and join us for some yummy cupcakes and tunes.

Museum of Everything

We had breakfast at the 'Museum of Everything' last week with one of our most favourite artists...the legendary Sir Peter Blake . He is such an inspiration and a wonderful storyteller. The Museum is full of vintage circus and fairground art, music memorabilia, Victorian taxidermy, folk art and found objects. Ephemera that Blake has collected, categorised and arranged, over his 60-year career...truely amazing!! Everything we love.

A Festival of Independents

The Tate Modern is celebrating their 10th anniversary and on the 15th May, we visited the 'No Soul For Sale - A Festival of Independents' . It was a real buzz...a fascinating display of exciting independent artists, collectives and non-profit organizations from around the world. We were thrilled that the 'Museum of Everything' selected one of our paintings to be hung in the Tate and it was an honor to chat briefly with Jarvis Cocker, a real ambassador for Outsider Art.

a day in the life of a damien hirst

Finally some sneeky photos that we took whilst on 'Damien's stage'. We experienced some very interesting and amusing reactions from the public and met many intriguing characters. Overall it was truly fascinating, our own little social experiment, for as people watched us, we watched them.







We were also very fortunate to have met an artist by the name of Ewing Paddock who wanted to paint us as part of his London Underground Project...he is an amazing talented man!

We've gone all hoopey loopey! We are so lucky to finally have a back garden and when the sun is shining we've been practicing our tricks as much as possible. Thought it was about time we went to a hoop workshop to get some tricks and tips from a pro. We went to the Hoop Flow Workshop with Livi Little at the Special Yoga Centre in Kensal Rise last Friday. It was the perfect venue as it was pouring with rain outside. Livi Little is an inspiration and there will be more classes to follow as she is moving into a warehouse in North London....yay!

Pop Life: Art in a Material World

Where have we been for the last three months??....immersed in a 'Damien Hirst' artwork at the Tate Modern, London. We will post some photos soon!!

We've been on a jolly get-away.....camping under the stars, sitting around the fire, hooping and dancing our festival feet away. Ahhh let the summer keep rolling on and on and on! We'll pop back and download some more photos soon. Off we hop to make some festival props... giant mushrooms, flowers and teeny tiny tipees are on order!
